KH Del Rio Smith has studied singing & vocal technique for over 20 years, achieving a Grade 8 in Classical Vocal Technique from Trinity Guildhall in 2016. As a performer, KH has honed their craft on stages such as His Majesty’s Theatre (West End), Fairfield Halls, Talawa Studio and the Royal Festival Hall, and has been writing, performing, and recording original music across London since 2012.
With nearly a decade of experience teaching vocal and performance technique, KH works both privately, designing bespoke one-to-one programmes, and in partnership with organisations including Legacy Youth Zone, Stagecoach Performing Arts, Crystal Palace Performing Arts, Thornton Heath Library, and most recently, Pegasus Opera Company.
Driven by a deep passion for vocal education, KH is committed to demystifying the often exclusive world of operatic singing. Their teaching empowers aspiring singers with a strong understanding of their vocal instrument, a solid technical foundation, and the tools needed for vocal health and longevity—enabling each student to develop confidence, versatility, and true ownership of their unique voice.

Student Testimony
(C, Student since 2023) :
Having Katia as a vocal coach has been so amazing! She brings a true vibrance to our sessions and makes it so easy to enjoy singing for someone else. I find myself looking forward to our next session even before the current one is over because it is clear how much she enjoys what she does. I came for help with my singing but lucky me, I'm also gaining confidence and the audacity to try new things (even if my comfort zone hates me for it). Really lovely person and I would definitely recommend!!
